Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

Makes

  • 4oz butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon bicarbonate soda
  • 1.5 cups self-rising flour
  • 1.5 tablespoons cocoa
  • 1/4 cup boiling water
  • 1 cap of vanilla essence

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees. Prepare a cake tin with oil and baking paper
  2. Cream butter and sugar with electric mixer
  3. Beat eggs, then add
  4. Combine milk and bicarbonate soda, then stir in
  5. Add flour and cocoa slowly, stirring between or while beating on low
  6. Add vanilla
  7. Add boiling water
  8. Pour into tin and bake for 30-40 minutes
